How to Guide - Creating an Advert Template
This guide will cover how to create a new Advert Template on Talos.
Creating advert templates on the system can make posting roles on Talos much more efficient, as information from the template will be pre-populated on the job post details screen, when the template is selected.
Note: you will need to have access to the ‘System Administrator' permission in order to create and edit advert templates.
Instructions
Firstly, click on the ‘Configuration’ icon, which can be accessed through the sidebar on Talos:
When setting up a new advert template, select the ‘Manage Advert Templates’ button on the configuration screen:
This will open a page with all the existing Advert Templates, so you can ensure the template you wish to add is not already set up. On this page, you will also have the option to select the ‘Add New Advert Template’ button:
Once this has been selected, you will be taken to the Advert Template Creation screen. This is where you will complete the fields you would like to populate when your template is selected:
You will be required to select which Profile you would like to add your template to (if you have more than one set up on your system).
You will also be required to name your template. We recommend ensuring that this name relates to the job title of the template so it is clear when selecting a template which role it relates to.
The remaining fields are the same as you would encounter when posting a job and should be filled out accordingly.
Below this information is a space for the ‘Advert Copy.’ This is the body of text which will make up the advert:There is also a space for an ‘Unbranded Advert Copy.’ This is where an unbranded version of the advert will go. If you do not have an unbranded version of your advert, then copy the branded version of your advert text into this field.
Below this is several options relating to the progression of the advert.
Here you can select which application form will accompany the advert (if applicable) There is also space to upload any external documents to go with the advert template:Once this page is completed, you can save your advert template by clicking the ‘Save Advert Template’ icon:
And that’s it! The advert template will be created on the system. The advert template will need to be assigned to the required hierarchy teams to be able to use when posting roles. There is a separate guide on assigning advert templates to hierarchy teams.
